Joint Curriculum Development between Europe and China; process, outcomes and challenges

The AsiaLink project MI-EIS (Management of Implementation of Enterprise Information Systems) will finish its activities after two years (see www.mi-eis.net). The aim of the project was to develop a joint reference curriculum to improve the profession of implementing complex information systems in companies by offering a holistic and integrated master-level education to professionals and master students. An important requirement is that the curriculum can be implemented in the European as well in the Chinese context.

The seminar aims to transfer the knowledge gained in collaborative curriculum development between Europe and China, such as (differences in) local education styles, accreditation processes, regulations, etc., which have a major impact on the development process. The reference curriculum will be presented as an example of joint development. It offers an opportunity for exchanging different teaching styles and approaches.
The target audience of the seminar consists of teachers of Chinese students, developers of joint curricula with China, officers responsible for educational contacts with China, professionals, teachers and researchers in the area of enterprise system implementation
